Immersive Futures at ACE

We had a fantastic few days in Tralee delivering the first in our new series of Immersive Futures workshops, where we shared Immersive Technology, AI and Virtual Production workflows, platforms and tools with the participants, including Virtual Production for animation platform Animotive and Augmented Reality Spatial Storytelling Trails builder platform Lureo. These are best in class platforms from our talented all-island immersive ecosystem.

The Immersive Futures workshop series is designed to upskill creative professionals with the latest in immersive and future screen technologies - By Makers For Makers. We’d like to thank the wonderful group of participants and our talented team of facilitators - Camille Donegan, Shane Ross Murphy, Jess Harkin, David Toolan, Sean Burns and Ryan Mckenna.

It’s all action at the Immersive Futures Workshop, in Tralee, Co. Kerry

After the workshop we were delighted to get a site visit at the AgriTech Centre of Excellence (ACE). We were very impressed by the 180 projector and screen setup as well as the multiple VR kits for use with clients, students and school groups. The team at ACE and MTU are building immersive solutions for companies of all sizes in the region and with Kevin Maye and some very talented interns, they are exploring R&D of the latest tech from interactive AI powered avatars, 180 stereoscopic video and some footage to live streaming of volumetric humans.

They have lots of great tech and talent in ACE and we are excited to see how their services will continue to elevate the industry in Ireland as well as Eirmersive members. Needless to say we are thrilled to count ACE as a founding member of Eirmersive.

Thanks very much to Dr. Sara Morrissey Tucker, Mike Casey, Hans Moolman and Kevin Maye for the tour and all the support.
